Theatre Arts as a Department in OWUTECH

Owutech, Theatre Performance will soon be a department in Owu College Of Management Technology. This statement was made by the H.O.D of the Accountancy department Mr. Oduntan Oluwatoyin Kazeem as well as the director of Owutech theatre Performance currently operating as a group.

There were a lot of challenges and controversies when the proposal to establish theatre as a vocational training was submitted to the management board and most of his colleagues were against it, it took a lot to even operate as a group in the school. I am sure with our just concluded project "SHAKIRA"  Theatre Arts will soon be approved as a department, it's a matter of time he said. 

He explained further that there is a lot of talent in the school that is willing to explore through theatre arts which have led them to bring in an expert to teach all that concerns theatre arts. Dr. Fabosuyi is a  theatre art lecturer with a Ph.D. degree in view from the Federal College of Education FCE Osiele as a mentor and a backbone to the whole of Owutech theatre group. He also assists whenever there is a special task to carry out. He also contributed to the just concluded project "SHAKIRA" he assisted in the writing of the story and the screenplay.

Theatre Arts Group in Owutech lectures and train student in the are of stage drama, scriptwriting, dancing, film making and production, opera, special effect make-up, costume, and many more.

Mr. Oduntan Oluwatoyin Kazeem also addresses young talented people out there, that are still striving to find a voice in society to be patient, persistent, and consistent that they would get there. It's just a matter of time he concluded.
