This the recent covid-19 vaccination at Owu College Of Management  Technology in ward 10,

Settlement: Ewekoro, LGA : wasimi, 

State : Ogun state, Nigeria.

The Covid-19 vaccination centre was filled up of student from the school of which a formal arrangment was made by the school for orderliness.

 The vaccination was to be given to people for the prevention of the corona virus and of which certain people are exempted which include

a. People below 18 years of age are not allowed to       receive the COVID-19 vaccine

b. Pregnant and lactating mothers are also not advised to take the COVID-19 Vaccine

c. People with allergic reactions to vaccines, pharmaceutical products, notable food allergies are also not allowed

d. Anyone who has had an adverse reaction to a COVID-19 vaccine earlier

e. Persons showing active symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection should also avoid getting vaccinated

f. COVID-19 patients who have been given anti-SARS-Cov-2 monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma are also in this ‘not eligible' list

g. People who are acutely unwell and hospitalised patients (with or without intensive care) due to any illness are also included

   The official age qualified for vaccination in Nigeria is from 18+ and above which is of government approval.The National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) says persons aged 15 and 17 years can now receive the COVID-19 vaccine if required for educational purposes.

“The NPHCDA has given a waiver for persons aged 16 and 17 to receive COVID-19 vaccines if required for educational purposes,” the agency said in an advisory.

The agency had said the vaccines can only be administered to persons aged 18 years and older including pregnant women and lactating mothers, but the new waiver increases the number of eligible persons.

 Most were with the rumor of negativity of the vaccine and decided not to take the vaccine.

 The official at the center said "anyone who collected the vaccine but isn't of age (18) would be withdrawn of the vaccination card........ and if any case of unqualified individual was found that he/she most have lied of his/her age".
